Bringing Mardi Gras to Your Homeschool


"Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler" Let the Good Times Roll is a saying that we celebrate most in the South every Spring.  Bring on the Mardi Gras Parades, Food, Music, & Bright colors!!  This is one of the times I really miss home, because we always miss out on Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday).  I've learned to bring the holiday into our home wherever we are stationed!  Last year, I even discovered authentic King Cake mix sold on Amazon!  Mardi Gras is March 5 this year! Right before Ash Wednesday (the First day of Lent)




So how to we incorporate this fun Holiday into our Homeschool? Well, this is a first for us, as we usually just hang beads around with Mardi Gras colors and make a King Cake. However this year, I searched for some fun books  & other things to add to our March Morning Basket. You can mix this into a full Unit Study if you wish!
